Pre-requisite Belief:

Human reason has this particular fate that it reaches at a stage when it can neither answer certain questions nor can it ignore such questions

So, Human reason, by its own nature, is not competent to resolve certain questions concerning the ultimate reality.

Limitations as human:

All perceptions seem entirely loose and separate. They are conjoined but not necessarily connected

Spirit of seeking:

Love by nature is sacrifice,

It is never desirous

A relinquishment that renounces,

All actions worldly or religious

A relinquishment that feels

Oneness with him and neglects contrary things

A relinquishment that performs

Actions religious or worldly if congenial

And neglects those to him,

When uncongenial,

May protection of scriputures be ours,

To guide,

Till the strengthening of convictions,

May protection of scriptures be our duty

To lead

When once conviction is gained

Or else there is a fear of fall,

So long only, our worldy duties(dharma)

Save eating and such others

They remain till the body remains.

Every experience to one is nothing but a reaffirmation of cosmic beauty and play.

Spirituality:

  1. Indian philosophy has been intensely spiritual and as always emphasized the need of practical realization of truth.
  2. The word ‘darshan’ means ‘vision’ and also the instrument of vision which stands for the direct immediate and intuitive vision of reality and also includes the means which leads to this realization.

Union of opposites(contraries):

Aligning inner compass:

Performance of duty in the state of active living for the sake of action beyond all consideration of the reward, expected in all states of life, such as loss or gain, heat or cold, praise or blame. This is freedom too, that is, action in the service of the Divine with complete faith in the Law of the Divine.

Consciousness is not a matter of behaviour. It is the nature of existence. Compulsiveness, however, is behavioral. The moment you wait before you engage in a compulsion, you are aligning yourself with the conscious nature of existence. Overtime this helps weaken the compulsive nature of behavior.

Thus it is not simply doing a deed that accumulates karma. It is how we do it, and with what motive it is performed, that makes all the difference.

Art of symbolism:

How King Vishwarath Kaushika got into a conflict with the great Rishi Vasishta, and how finally this prompted him to strive to become a Brahmarishi known as Vishwamitra, and become the one to realize the famous Gayatri Mantra.

It is a beautiful story of how Rishi Vishwamitra conquered his anger, lust, greed, jealousy, etc and finally realized the highest truth through his self-effort and the blessings of the Sage Vasishta.
